Description

This is a milestone located south-west of the Church of the Holy Trinity, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and painted white, standing approximately 1 foot high. The milestone has a triangular shape with a rounded back. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE" and the other side reads "JEDBORO," indicating distances of 34 miles and 22 miles, respectively.
