Description
Nether Houses is a house and cottage built in the early 19th century, constructed from dressed stone. The house features a Lakeland slate roof, while the cottage has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The house includes a six-panel door with a four-pane overlight located in the third bay, along with 12-pane sash windows that have projecting sills. The cottage to the right has a blank wall on this facade and a gabled roof with two banded ridge stacks. The house also has a second span at the rear, which consists of three bays with 12-pane sash windows. There is a panelled door and 12-pane windows on the right return of the cottage.
