Description
The barn adjoining West Wharmley Farmhouse to the southwest is a 18th-century structure that has been altered in the 19th century. It is built of rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof. The front elevation features various doors, some of which have alternating jambs, as well as windows. The right gable has a blocked circular window on the first floor, set in a raised stone surround, and a semicircular opening above it with a slightly projecting sill. This barn is included in the listing mainly for its group value with the farmhouse.
