Description
East Wharmley Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with tooled and margined quoins and lintels, topped with a slate roof and featuring stone gable stacks. The building has two storeys and three symmetrical windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an oblong fanlight, all set within a raised stone surround. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, except for the central window, which has 12 panes. All windows have raised stone surrounds, although they have been renewed. The rear elevation features a central door with alternating tooled and margined jambs, leading into a 20th-century glazed porch, along with similar windows.
