Description

Frankham Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house built on the site of an older structure. The front elevation is of squared stone, while the side and rear elevations are of rubble construction, with tooled and margined quoins and dressings. The roof is slate, and there are ashlar end stacks. The house is two storeys high with three windows facing the front. A 20th-century glazed door is centrally located within an old moulded wood frame, and is topped by an oblong fanlight. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The rear elevation features a central door, a small 20th-century window to the left, and a round-headed staircase window with radial glazing that is slightly off-centre. A thick internal axial wall corresponds to the front wall of the earlier house.
