Description

This is a late medieval tower house, located near Newbrough. Only a portion of the west wall is visible, the remainder being a core of rubble. Constructed from massive squared stones, the tower has a rectangular plan and is incorporated into the northeast corner of a group of 19th-century farm buildings. The visible ground floor walls retain the remains of a loop window on the east side, while a higher fragment of the west wall forms part of the end wall of the adjacent barn. The interior is obscured by rubble and rubbish.
