Description
The garden gate piers, wall, and railings located to the south of West Wharmley Farmhouse date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from stone and wrought iron. A rubble wall with a shallow coping and iron railings extends from the south-east corner of the West Barn along the south side of the garden, connecting to a taller stone wall that runs north to the East Barn. The plain stone piers, topped with low pyramidal caps, support a gate featuring close-set standards and a patterned rail at the west end of the wall.
