Description
This is a milestone from the late 18th century located on the south side of the road in Longhirst. It is made of sandstone and features a single stone with a triangular plan resting on a partly-buried square base. The milestone stands 0.6 meters tall and is inscribed with "MORPETH CR(ESSWELL) IV V (MILES) (MILES)."
