Description

This is a milestone located approximately 40 yards south-east of Ramshope Cottage. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone, which has been painted white. The milestone stands about 2 feet high and has a triangular shape with a rounded back. One side is inscribed with "NEWCASTLE," while the other side reads "JEDBORO 42 14 MILES."
