Description
Longhirst Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house built upon older fabric. The front elevation is constructed of squared dressed stone, tooled and margined. It has a slate roof. The house is symmetrical with three bays and two storeys. The central entrance features a four-panel door with an overlight, and there are 16-pane sash windows throughout. A projecting eaves course runs along the top. A stepped and corniced stack is located at the right end, while the left end stack has been altered. The left return shows an old nine-pane fixed casement window. An outshut (a rear extension) is present and also features sash windows.
