Description

The garden walls at Longhirst Farmhouse and Longhirst Farm Cottage date from the 19th century and are constructed of squared stone. The roadside wall features gabled coping and curves at the northern end. There are gabled monolithic gate piers leading to the cottage. A similar wall and gateway can be found to the north, while a taller flat-coped wall connects to the north-west corner of the farmhouse and extends to the south of the cottage, which includes a gateway with matching piers. The taller eastern section of the wall is not considered to be of special interest.
