Description

The war memorial in Longhirst Village was built around 1919 and is designed in a cenotaph style using ashlar stone. It features a plinth with inscriptions, elevated by two steps, and a tapering slab that includes a small bronze laurel wreath and has chamfered angles. The memorial is flanked by short wing walls that are rock-faced at the rear.
