Description
Longhirst Farm Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage, originally two cottages. It is located in Longhirst village. The cottage is constructed of tooled-and-margined stone with a slate roof. It has a single storey and six irregular bays. A boarded door is positioned in the second bay. Sixteen-pane sash windows are found in the other bays; the window in the fourth bay is set into an older door opening, and the window in the sixth bay is a replacement. The roof is hipped on the right side and features two brick ridge stacks set upon stone bases.
