Description
The garden walls to Old Moor Farmhouse date from around 1840 for the roadside section, while the west and north walls are from the 18th century. The walls are constructed of stone and brick. The roadside wall features squared tooled stone and has gate piers with chamfered plinths, stop-chamfered angles, and swept moulded pyramidal caps. There is a similar pier on the west side. The wall to the east of the gate has arched coping, while the wall to the west has gabled coping. The taller walls on the west and north sides of the garden have a brick internal face and flat stone coping, with some areas patched. There is a boarded door on the west side, and the gable end of an earlier building is incorporated into the north wall. These walls are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
