Description
Nos. 90 and 91 Elvet Bridge is a house and shop built in the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shop front and an additional top storey. The building is constructed of English garden wall bond brick, featuring a plinth and painted ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high with two bays and a two-storey entrance bay on the right. The entrance bay includes a four-panelled door beneath a sash window. The shop features a half-glazed double door to the right of the second bay. The windows throughout the building consist of two vertical lights on the left and a combination of two, two, and one on the right, all set within bays defined by bar-stopped chamfers. There is a quatrefoil pierced ventilation strip and a fascia with coved sections beneath two bracketed first-floor oriels. The cornice breaks forward over pilasters and coving. The square oriels have hipped roofs, and the paired sashes on the second floor are topped with flat stone lintels and have projecting stone sills. The building is capped with end brick chimneys.
