Description
Nos. 107 and 109 Long Street is a shop and dwelling built in the late 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features an old plain-tile roof with ridge cresting and brick end stacks. The building has an L-plan with a wing on the left side extending to the rear. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range.
The shop front is full-width, made of moulded and painted wood, and includes pilaster panels and consoles on both sides, along with an entablature that has curved ends. There are two half-glazed four-panel doors with overlights; the left door has additional panelling to the right. The building originally had three canted bay windows that featured curved glazing on the sides. The first floor is fitted with plate glass sashes, while the second floor has six-pane sashes. The stone lintels are chamfered and adorned with incised scroll ornament and hood moulds. Below the eaves, there is a band of paired moulded tiles. The interior has not been inspected.
