Description
Trent House, located at 102 Long Street in Atherstone, is a building that dates from the late 18th century and is currently used as offices. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features rendered string courses and a moulded rendered cornice. The roof is not visible. The building has a double-depth plan with additions at the rear and stands three storeys tall with a four-window range. The fourth bay is slightly set back and wider than the others. The first bay contains a five-panelled door with a decorative fanlight, panelled reveals, and a painted wood Tuscan Doric doorcase that includes half-columns, paterae, and an open pediment. There is a passageway in the left corner of the fourth bay that has a 20th-century door and a surround made of re-used wood mouldings. The sashes are adorned with rusticated rendered flat arches that feature triple keyblocks. The interior has not been inspected.
