Description

The White Horse Public House is a public house that is part of a row, dating from the mid-18th century. The ground floor was altered in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed Flemish bond brick, with a brick dentil and dog-tooth cornice that is likely from the 19th century. The ground floor features glazed brick or tile, and the building has an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack that has a rebuilt top.

The structure has a double-depth plan, is two storeys tall with an attic, and has a three-window range. The ground floor is adorned with simple pilasters and a large wooden fascia supported by paired fluted brackets at the ends, along with a dentil cornice. There is a panelled door with an overlight located at the left corner and positioned between the windows. The ground floor also features two large three-light windows, each with outer lights that have transoms and a wide central light with an inner arch.

On the first floor, there are two- and three-light wooden mullioned and transomed windows that include glazing bars and gauged brick flat arches. The second and third bays have hipped roof dormers that contain similar two-light casements. The interior is noted for having chamfered beams.
