Description

COTHERSTONE BALDERSDALE NY 91 NW 14/37 Barn attached to rear of Clove Lodge Farmhouse and farm- buildings attached to west of barn GV II Barn and attached farmbuildings. Early C19. Squared rubble and stone-flagged roofs. Barn, attached to rear of farmhouse, with 3 linked farmbuildings attached towards rear of west front, partly enclosing a small yard.

2-storey, 4-bay barn has central boarded door and 2 rows of breathers. Roof with coped gables.

Farmbuildings. Two single-storey, 3-bay byre/loose-boxes have central Dutch doors; flanking partly-glazed, hit-and-miss ventilators and roofs with coped gables. 2-storey, 3-bay barn, attached to south-west corner of single-storey range, has boarded door to west and a row of breathers; roof with coped gables.

Late C20, single-storey addition to west front of barn attached to farmhouse is not of special interest.
