Description

This is a barn attached to the rear of Clove Lodge Farmhouse, along with farm buildings connected to the west of the barn. The structures date from the early 19th century and are built of squared rubble with stone-flagged roofs. The barn is two stories high and has four bays, featuring a central boarded door and two rows of breathers. Its roof has coped gables.

The attached farm buildings consist of two single-storey byre or loose boxes, each with three bays. These have central Dutch doors and flanking partly-glazed, hit-and-miss ventilators, with roofs that also have coped gables. There is a two-storey barn attached to the south-west corner of the single-storey range, which has a boarded door facing west and a row of breathers, along with a roof featuring coped gables.

There is a late 20th-century single-storey addition to the west front of the barn that is not considered of special interest. The barn and farm buildings are included for their group value.
