Description

A barn with attached farm buildings, dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and have slate, pantile, and corrugated iron roofs. The barn itself is hipped and two stories high. On the south side, facing the farmyard, are a pair of off-centre segment-headed plank doors. To the left of these is a stable door, then another stable door flanked by small windows. To the right are a single stable door. Above are roof breathers, and to the right a semicircular pigeon loft opening with a small window to the left. Attached to the west end is a single-story stable range extending southwards, with three doors and two windows. At the south end of this range are a pair of wooden gates and gateposts. To the east of the barn is a single-story range with a stable door and a window. At the right end of this range is a two-story hayloft, with an outside staircase and an upper plank door. To the north-west is an animal shed with a walled enclosure. The rear of the hayloft has a loft door to the left and a reglazed window to the right. Below, to the left, is a stable door flanked to the right by a slatted casement. At the east end is a single-story range running southwards, with two stable doors and a shuttered window. At the rear are two garages. The interior was not inspected.
