Description
The building is a barn and attached outbuildings at Coedllys, dating from the 19th century. The outbuildings consist of two attached ranges made of rubble stone with slate roofs. The main southwest range is tall and features a barn at the left end, a lofted stable in the center, and an added lofted double cart-shed at the right end. The barn has a large cambered-headed entry with a vent loop to the left, double doors, and stone voussoirs framing the entry. To the right of the barn, there is a square loft window above the left window of the stable, which has a door situated between the two windows, all of which are adorned with stone voussoirs. The left window of the stable is partially blocked. The added right end of the range, which is under a single roof, includes two shallow-arched cart entries with stone voussoirs and a single central square loft window located under the eaves above. There are outside steps leading to a loft door on the right end wall.
The range at right angles features four doors and broad openings at each end, with the left opening being fully open and the right one partially infilled, containing a door to the left of the stone walling with a slatted upper opening. The barn has opposed doors and a five-bay roof supported by later 19th-century tie-beam trusses, with three rows of purlins. The single-storey range has collar trusses supporting the roof and a rear feed passage.
