Description
Islwyn is the left house of a pair, with Llwyn to the right. Both houses are built from squared coursed rubble stone and feature a slate close-eaved roof with two pale brick chimneys, one on the left side of each house. The overall structure has five windows, with Islwyn having two windows and Llwyn having three, although Llwyn may have originally been a matching two-bay house with a third bay added later. The windows are four-pane sashes with tooled stone voussoirs and slate sills. The doors have been replaced; Islwyn has a door in the second bay from the left with an overlight, while Llwyn has a door in the fourth bay, positioned similarly to Islwyn's door but without an overlight. The right bay of Llwyn, adjacent to Glanadair, is narrower and features a broad cart entry with a cambered head and stone voussoirs, along with a matching sash window above it. In front of the houses, there are railings on low walls, adorned with fleur-de-lys finials on the standards and urns on the end standards. The property was not inspected at the time of the survey.
