Description

Glanhaul is a detached village house, dating to the 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed roughcast and stucco, with slate eaves roofs and tall grey stone chimneys at each end. The chimneys feature a frieze and stepped cornice. The house has an L-shaped facade, with a lower wing projecting to the left. It is two storeys high and incorporates small-paned casement-pair windows and cross-mullion windows. The projecting wing has overhanging verges, with a casement pair above and a cross window below. The main range, set back to the right, features a hipped open timber porch in the angle of the L-shape, a four-panel door with overlight, and a casement pair under the eaves to the right, above a ground floor cross window. A casement pair to the first floor is located on the right gable end, to the right of a raised chimneybreast. The rear of the building has a smaller grey stone chimney on the rear wall. The house was not inspected at the time of survey.
