Description
The Vicarage is a 2-storey building dating from the 18th century, designed in a slightly Tudor style. It features unpainted roughcast walls with stucco dressings and slate roofs, topped by a central axial ridge stack. The front facade has a three-window range with a projecting gabled centre bay. The windows are timber cross-mullioned, each consisting of four 4-pane lights, and the surrounds are adorned with keystones. The central projection has a shallow gable and a matching window above a depressed-arched entry, which is framed by a keystone. The front door is recessed behind a 20th-century glazed door in a porch opening.
The end gables have overhanging verges, with the right end featuring a similar window above and a small bay window below, which has a cross-window to the front and canted side-lights. At the rear, there are two parallel wings that are joined. The left wing has a hipped roof to the north and a cross-window on each floor, with stone voussoirs, the lower window being larger. A chimney is located on the right, in the valley of the right wing, which is constructed of rubble stone and has a massive external stack, along with one small upper window on the first floor to the left. The building was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
