Description
This building is a range of stables and loose boxes that date from the mid-19th century and were altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from limewashed, dressed sandstone and features pantiled roofs. The structure is L-shaped, consisting of a single-storey, four-bay stable that is attached to the left return of the Old Farmhouse, and a single-storey, five-bay range of loose boxes that is attached to the left end of the stables. The stable includes a 20th-century vehicular entrance in the second bay from the left, along with three boarded doors and two 20th-century casements. The loose boxes have two boarded doors and two 20th-century casements, as well as a segmental-arched entrance with double wooden doors in the gabled right return. This building is included for its group value with the Old Farmhouse.
