Description
No. 10 High Row is a house built in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition on the right. It is constructed from dressed sandstone and features a graduated green slate roof with ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, along with a two-storey, one-bay addition to the right. The front of the house is unified, with a low plinth and raised and chamfered quoins.
To the left, there are two early 20th-century canted bay windows. On the right, there is an elliptical carriage arch, which has raised and chamfered voussoirs and jambs, along with early 20th-century ornamental wrought-iron gates. The entrance through the carriage arch includes a six-panel door set within a Tuscan doorcase.
On the first floor, there are four 12-pane sash windows in raised surrounds, topped by a continuous lintel band. The building has a flat-coped parapet above. The moderately-pitched roofs feature coped gables on the three-bay left section, along with two stepped and corniced gable stacks. There are outbuildings attached to the rear, but they are not of special interest.
