Description
The building consists of stables and loose boxes located approximately 2 meters south of Dairy Cottage. It is a range of cart-sheds and loose boxes, with a stable at the eastern end, likely built in the early 19th century, with the stable added in the late 19th century. The structure is made of rubble, primarily blue ragstone, and features a stone slate roof for the main range, while the stable has a graduated slate roof with red cockscomb ridge tiles. The main range runs on an east-west axis, with cart sheds at the east end and loose boxes at the west end, and the stable is attached to the north-east corner. There is also a long, low single-storey range connected to the south-west corner, also aligned east-west, which includes three open-fronted units and three doorways further west. The square two-storey stable has a steeply-pitched roof oriented north-south, with a stable doorway on the west side and a loading doorway in the north gable. This building forms a group with Dairy Cottage and the barn located to the east of Dairy Cottage.
