Description

This sundial, located in the forecourt of a gate in Dent, is likely from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features a plinth with two wide circular steps. The sundial has a baluster-shaped octagonal pedestal topped with a moulded cap. It is part of a group with the adjacent gate, which adds to its significance.
