Description

Milestone located on the north side of the road opposite Silverdale Cottage in Dentdale. This milestone dates from the early to mid 19th century and is made of dressed sandstone, which is painted white. It features a square plinth and a semicircular shaft that is inscribed with "S / 2" on its rounded top. This milestone is part of a series of 11 milestones in this parish.
