Description

This is a milestone located approximately 5 metres west of Hallbank Lane in Dent, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and painted white. The milestone features a square plinth with chamfered corners and a semicircular shaft that is inscribed with "S / 6" on its rounded top. It is one of a series of 11 milestones in this parish.
