Description

This is a milestone located approximately 170 meters west of Sundial Cottage in Dent, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and is painted white. The milestone features a square plinth with chamfered corners and a semicircular shaft that is inscribed with "S / 7" and has a rounded top. This milestone is one of a series of 11 in the parish.
