Description

Woman’s Land is a farmhouse, later adapted for residential use, likely dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed from rough, irregularly coursed rubble with quoins, and is painted white except for the porch. It has a roof of stone slate. The plan is a single depth, comprising one and two units, oriented on an east-west axis, facing north.

The two-storey, 1:4 windowed facade is irregular. A gabled porch is centrally positioned. A small outbuilding is attached to the front of the east end, followed by two windows. Two further windows appear to the right of the porch, spaced widely apart. The first floor has three windows to the left and two to the right, positioned above the ground floor windows. All windows are rectangular six-pane sashes with vertical glazing bars, with the exception of the small, square window directly to the right of the porch which also has glazing bars. A ridge chimney is situated between the first and second windows, and a gable chimney is located to the right. The rear and interior were not inspected.
