Description

Milestone located on the north side of the lane at SD 688 885 in Dentdale. This milestone dates from the early to mid 19th century and is made of dressed sandstone, which is painted white. It features a square plinth with chamfered corners and a semicircular shaft that is inscribed with "S / 4" and has a rounded top. This milestone is one of a series of 11 in the parish.
