Farmhouse, now dwelling, with attached outbuilding. Probably late C17 or early C18; altered and probably raised. Mixed random rubble, the front white-washed; stone slate roof. Single-depth 2-unit plan on north-south axis, facing east, with out-building attached at north end and lean-to addition to rear of 1st unit. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 3 windows; with a wide gabled porch offset slightly to the right, a square 4-pane sash to the left and a narrow fire-window left of that, a smaller 4-pane sash to the right, a similar 4-pane sash above the left of the porch and large 12-pane sashes to left and right. Gable chimneys, that to left corbelled from 1st floor level. Low outbuilding continued to right, with garage door. Rear: appears to be on lower ground, with a basement storey; large lean-to covers lower part of south end and centre, and next to this is a small stair-window, one square window to the basement and another above that; doorway to outbuilding. INTERIOR: not inspected, but said to contain "the remains of a farmhouse known as Matthews" (1984 list). Forms group with barn approx. 5m west (qv).
