Description

Milestone located on the north side of Dentdale, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and has remnants of whitewash. The milestone features a square plinth with chamfered corners, although the right-hand corner is damaged. The semicircular shaft is inscribed with "S / 11" and has a rounded top. This milestone is one of a series of 11 in the parish.
