Description

Packsaddle Bridge is an 18th-century packhorse bridge located beside Dent Head Viaduct in Dentdale. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a low segmental arch made up of one ring of narrow rubble voussoir stones. The bridge carries a grassy track and creates a striking contrast with the nearby Dent Head Viaduct, which rises approximately 10 meters to the west as part of the Settle to Carlisle railway line.
