Farmhouse. Unoccupied at times of inspections (July 1994 and May 1995). Early C18, with later additions and alterations; internal alterations in progress. Whitewashed mixed rubble with quoins, stone slate roof. Single-depth plan, 1:2 units (the 1st probably an early addition), with a full height rear outshut. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 1:3 windows. The main range, almost symmetrical, has a gabled porch in the centre with square-headed outer opening and inner doorway, and blue slate roof, flanked by top-hung casement windows imitating 4-pane sashes which both have the lintels and hoodmoulds of former 3-light chamfered mullion windows. To the left of that on the left are inserted 4-pane windows on each floor (like the others), above that to the right is a similar window, and offset left of centre at 1st floor is a small 2-light chamfered flush mullion window. The added 1st unit has one similar but smaller top-hung casement on each floor and a small 1-light to the left at ground floor. Gable chimney to right, ridge chimney at former gable to left. Later outhouse attached to left end. Rear: catslide roof to outshut. INTERIOR: not inspected.
