Description
Prebends Cottage is a cottage dating to circa 1771. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a pantile roof, featuring a single row of stone slates along the eaves. A brick chimney is also present. The cottage is one storey and consists of three bays. A six-panelled double door, set one step up and protected by a stone lintel, provides access to the front. Windows have stone lintels and projecting sills, and feature 16-paned sashes with external shutters. Large blocks define the gable edges. The left return gable, located on the path towards Prebends' Bridge, incorporates a cellar door and an oriel window. This building holds group value from its contribution to the Prebends area.
