Description

Old England is a cottage dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, constructed of sandstone rubble. It features a pantiled roof with a rebuilt brick chimney stack. The cottage is single storey and has three bays. On the left side, there is a replaced boarded door beneath a 20th-century hood. The front also includes two 16-pane sash windows with boarded external shutters. The roof is steeply pitched and has a central ridge stack. An identical sash window with shutters is located on the left return. A 20th-century brick shed on the right return and an addition at the rear are not considered of special interest.
