Description
Willow House is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features painted incised render on a mix of rubble and brick, topped with Welsh slate roofs and rebuilt brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys tall and has three bays. The central entrance has a boarded door with a margined overlight, set within a doorcase that has a hood supported by consoles. The outer bays contain small canted bay windows with replaced sashes and hipped roofs. Above, there are three replaced sashes with projecting stone sills. The eaves are stepped, and the roof is steeply pitched with swept eaves and end stacks. A two-storey rear outshut has been added.
Inside, there is a wide fireplace featuring a moulded cambered fire beam in the ground-floor room on the right. The ground and first floors have large chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops. The interior also includes two-panel doors, some fitted with I-L hinges, and a dogleg staircase with replaced balusters and handrail.
