Description

Galsworthy Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a pantile roof and has two storeys and two bays in a double-depth layout. The building features quoins and a central single-storey gabled porch that has a pedimented door-case leading to an eight-panel door. The windows are two-light casements, which resemble side-sliding sash windows, and are set beneath deep ashlar lintels. The cottage also has shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, with brick stacks at the ends. There is a two-storey pent-roofed extension to the right, which is not of special interest. The cottage is included for its group value.
