Description

Crindau Bridge, located on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, is a Grade II listed structure. It is built of red brick and features a semi-elliptical arch made with sandstone ashlar voussoirs, along with a projecting keystone. Above the arch, there is a brick stringcourse. The bridge has three iron ties that run through it, with round plates positioned above the arch. The parapet is plain and humped, having been partly rebuilt in 1973 when the sandstone copings were removed. On the south side of the bridge, there is an iron plate that reads "Crindau No. 1 Bridge."
