Barn to NW of Ford Farmhouse

This is a three-bay barn, likely from the 18th century, located to the northwest of Ford Farmhouse, with an attached three-bay byre range at the west end. The main barn features elevations made of local rubblestone, which was previously limewashed, and has a gabled, slated roof. On the north side, there is a central full-height opening with modern diagonally boarded timber doors for the upper half and vertically boarded doors for the lower half, both mounted on heavy pintel hinges. There are single ventilator slots on either side of the doorway. The south elevation has a lower central doorway with a stone voussoired arch above, along with single ventilator slots on either side. The east gable includes a small high-set triangular opening, while the west gable has a single high-set rectangular ventilator slot.

The attached single-storey byre range at the west end has a gabled pantiled roof and rubble elevations. The south side features three large openings with voussoired arches above at the west end, with the easternmost two now blocked and replaced by two small rectangular window openings. There is also a smaller doorway opening at the east end next to the attached barn, which has a boarded door.

Inside the main barn, there is a 19th-century hay loft in the west bay. The barn roof consists of principal rafters without collars and two sets of trenched purlins.
