Barn range at Aberdeunant

The barn range at Aberdeunant is a Grade II listed outbuilding, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. The barn features two large doors, with the larger one positioned to the right of center and the narrower, slightly lower door to the left of center, both supported by timber lintels. To the right of the larger door, there is a vent loop, and to the left of the smaller door, there is a blocked opening also with a timber lintel. The rear of the barn has opposed doors and three vent loops. A stone lean-to is attached to the right end wall, which includes one door.

At the left end of the barn, there is a taller lofted cow-house that has a square loft light to the right, positioned above three ground floor doors that step downhill. There is a loop to the left of the right door, and the rear lean-to features a central door, a window to the left, and a vent loop to the right.

The barn is organized into five bays, separated by a modern wall, with the floor level lower in the three end bays. The roof, which may be modern or from the 19th century, consists of tie beam and collar trusses. Inside the barn, there are the cut-off ends of four scarfed cruck trusses. The west gable features five vent loops arranged in three tiers, while the south wall contains three vent loops.

The cow-house includes center and end-wall passages, with a vent loop on the east end wall, another to the right on the south wall, and one to the left of the right door on the front wall. The loft floor has been removed, and there are three floor beams present. The end wall has a loft door, and the roof is made of modern pine.
