Description
This building is an outbuilding that was formerly a cottage, located southwest of the tannery at Aberdeunant. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and features a corrugated iron roof. The structure is single storey and partly lofted.
The north wall has a full-height door positioned to the right of the center, while the south wall has a square window in the center. There is a similar square window on the west wall to the right, and a small loft window on the east wall to the right.
Originally, the building consisted of three bays and included scarfed cruck trusses, with the feet of the west truss still surviving and only the scar of the east truss remaining. At the eastern end, there is a large fireplace with a timber lintel. Inside, there are four oak beams. The roof features thin bolted collar trusses that date from the early 20th century.
