Description

182-183 Commercial Road is a mid-19th century pair of semi-detached villas designed in the Greek Revival style. The buildings feature rendered elevations and low pitched, hipped roofs covered with slate. A substantial central chimney stack, rebuilt in yellow stock bricks, is present, along with a smaller stack on the left-hand gable. The central bay of the pair projects forward and is accented by simple rendered pilasters on the returns. There is a projecting single-storey porch at the outer bay, supported by Ionic columns. Each villa has two twelve-paned sash windows with horns.
