Sergeants' Mess, Raglan Barracks

The Sergeants' Mess at Raglan Barracks is a two-storey building designed in a simple Classical style, featuring a chapel-like gable end on the north side. It is constructed from rubble with some snecked treatment and includes freestone dressings such as sill bands. The building has slate roofs with bracket eaves and stone gable parapets adorned with finials.

The east front has six bays and features twelve-pane sash windows that are elongated to the base for separate ventilation, with cambered relieving arches on the ground floor. A modern porch is present, along with outside stairs at the southeast corner. The north end has three bays, showcasing three Italianate, round-headed, iron-framed windows that are linked to the center beneath an attic roundel. The sash windows, similar to those on the east side, are set within broad and deep recesses.

To the west, there is a five-bay range with two doorways on the ground floor flanking a central window. A modern doorway has been added to the extreme left, and there are unhorned twelve-pane windows. A low garage block connects with Monmouth House.
