Description

Early 18th century, west facing 2-storey, wide 3-bay

building with single storey, single bay addition to south

gable, and further single storey, 3-bay cottage with

centre door abutting south gable of wing, forming

continuous range on south sloping site. Some

late 19th century windows and doorways, particularly in

rear east elevation. All rubble with ashlar dressings,

and tooled late 19th century architraves. Stone forestair

to 1st floor entrance in south outer bay of main block;

moulded eaves cornice; former string or band course

across west gable removed; simple chamfers to original

windows; some evidence of blocked fenestration; late 19th

century apex stack to main block centre west gable; early

18th century coped stack to south gable of cottage,

which also has original small windows.

Crowsteps; cavetto skewputts; local slate roofs.
