Description
The Estate Office at Mains Of Lethen is an earlier 19th century, two-storey farm square that faces southeast. It features a parallel two-storey range of estate cottages opposite. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings.
The steading has a nearly symmetrical ten-bay frontage with doorways located in the outer bays, each with loft doors above, although one has been converted into a window. It includes paired segmental-headed entrances, loft vents, and ridge stacks, topped with a roof made of corrugated asbestos and slate.
The cottages consist of a fourteen-bay range that includes both two- and three-bay cottages. They have smaller windows on the first floor, with twelve- and nine-pane glazing, and feature ridge and end stacks, all under a slate roof.
