Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, T-plan, former school house. Snecked rubble, stugged and margined ashlar dressings, slate roof. Plate glass and 2-pane sash and case windows, chamfered jambs; deep eaves to gables with plain bargeboards, exposed posts and ties and decorative cast-iron finials.

S ELEVATION: door and window to platform-roofed porch to centre re-entrant, window to left, window to 1st floor above porch; gable advanced to right, bipartite window to ground floor, window to 1st.

E ELEVATION: slightly advanced gable to centre, single window to ground and 1st floor, coped gable stack with original cans rising through eaves.

W GABLE: bipartite window to ground floor, single window to 1st.

N ELEVATION: door to single storey lean-to to centre re-entrant, glass brick window to right, windows to 1st floor, shouldered wallhead stack to right (upper part rebuilt in brick), single storey coal cellar block advanced to right with door, window and coal opening, half-piended roof; gable advanced to far left with window to ground and 1st floor.

INTERIOR: not seen.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble-coped rubble boundary wall to S, E and W.
